Sueng-Yong Park is currently a research professor at Dept. of Electronics Engineering, Yonsei University since 2007, Sept.

Prior joining to his current position, he worked for Cisco Systems Inc, San Jose, CA, U.S.A. during 2001, Feb and 2004, June. As a senior engineer at Cisco Systems, he led the development of VTMS packet QoS scheduling algorithm for popular Cisco 7600 series routers. He was also an active member of designers for other features, including low latency queuing, 802.1q-in-q, VLAN, MPLS and Carrier-Support-Carrier. He also participated in the development of high availability feature of Cisco 12000 series routers.

After working for Cisco systems for 4+ years, he left Cisco systems on 2004 and joined Samsung Electronics, Suwon, . He joined in the development of the integrated business gateway router, which supports voice, data, video, and wimax communication in a single platform. This is the first of a kind product from Samsung Electronics that successfully transferred to other derivative products.  His current interests are packet scheduling algorithm, QoS algorithm design, reliability design of system, and mobile-wireline convergence, and network management system.
